Tonight’s shiur is a standalone class for Leil Yud Shvat—the 75th anniversary of the Rebbe’s Leadership, and the yahrtzeit of the Frierdiker Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak. With a heartfelt L’chaim, we follow a stunning thread that runs from Shiras Hayam (Parshas Beshalach) all the way to Yechezkel’s map of Eretz Yisroel in the Geulah—and to the shocking question in the title. We begin with the recent, historic completion of bringing home the final hostage—and why that moment carries deep spiritual weight: the idea of the final “grab” of klipah, the closing of a painful chapter, and what it signals in the unfolding process of Geulah. From there we connect it directly to this week’s parsha: Moshe Rabbeinu refusing to leave Mitzrayim without Yosef’s bones—and the deeper meaning of “holding a Jewish body hostage,” then and now. Then comes the bombshell: Yechezkel (chapters 45–48) describes a future division of Eretz Yisroel into equal tribal strips, with a full strip allotted to the Nasi—Moshiach himself. Once you calculate the measurements and plot it out, you discover something wild: A major section of Gaza falls inside the future personal estate of Moshiach. We conclude with a mind-blowing, documented Chabad story: Reb Zusha Rivkin and the Rebbe’s words “A house? A palace.” Why would a palace for Moshiach be discussed in Kfar Chabad and not Yerushalayim? The answer becomes crystal clear once you understand where Yechezkel places the Nasi’s territory. May we see it openly—now. L’chaim.
