In this episode I'm exploring the abandoned Mary McClellan Hospital in Upstate New York. After discovering a major lack of quality in medical care available in the Upstate New York area, Edwin McClellan took it into his own hands to fund and build a state-of-the-art facility in the region. In 1923, Mary McClellan hospital officially opened its doors to the public. The hospital struggled to maintain funding that would allow for the advancements necessary to stay up to date with other medical facilities in the area.
