Sidewinder to Tippecanoe to Lower Tippy to Lower Periphery is an intermediate ski run located at Waterville Valley Resort. The trails run from the top of the White Peaks Express chairlift, down to the base area. The run begins to the skier's left of the top of the chairlift and is accessed via Sidewinder, a narrow connector that crosses underneath the Northside chairlift. The run then turns to the left into a wide-open pitch onto Tippecanoe. Tippecanoe continues straight down the mountain with a consistent pitch. The trail eventually arrives near the bottom of the Northside chairlift, where I continued straight onto Lower Tippy. Lower Trippy features a consistent pitch, eventually flattening out and merging onto Lower Periphery, which turns to the right and traverses back to the base area. Waterville Valley Resort is a ski area located in Waterville Valley, New Hampshire. The ski area is located in the Southern White Mountains, and is about a 25-minute drive north of Plymouth, NH, a 1-hour and 15-minute drive from Manchester, NH, and about a 2-hour drive from Boston, MA. Due to its close proximity to the Boston Metro Area and easy access only about 15 minutes off of Interstate 93, the ski area is popular with many day-trippers from the area. The ski area is also known for its family-friendly atmosphere which includes plenty of fun activities for kids, a variety of terrain for all ability levels, a top-notch ski school program, and a small-mountain feel with only one base area. The ski area is owned by the Sununu family, whose members include the current and a former Governor of New Hampshire as well as a former United States Senator from New Hampshire. Waterville Valley is an unlimited partner on the White Mountain Superpass, which also includes Cannon, Cranmore, and Bretton Woods, as well as a member on the Indy Pass, which grants pass holders 2 days each at the mountain.
