Day 7 brings an FRV on Sullivan Buses route 217 including a diversion from Grandville Road to Turnpike Lane due to sewer works. The FRV was acc very boring and the bus was dirty and had a slow driver :/ The bus I rode was: E75 (PB17 SUL) Route 217 travels through: Waltham Cross, A10, Enfield Retail Park, Cambridge Roundabout, Turnpike Lane. Operater: Sullivan Buses Garage: South Mimms (SM) Allocation: E400 MMCs PVR: 11 Length: 8 miles (13km) Start Time: 14:02 End Time: 15:09 Frequency: 12-20mins Runs from 4:50am to 1:30am Route 217 commenced operation on 19th May 1954 between Upshire and Alexandra Palace operated by London Transport from Enfield (E) and West Green (WG) garages using AEC Regent III RTs and Leyland Titans. On 3rd Jan 1962, West Green (WG) was announced closed and the allocation was transferred to Wood Green (WN). 27th Feb 1963 the Wood Green (WN) allocation transferred to Enfield (E). 7th Sept 1968 route was cut between Alexandra Park and Turnpike Lane. 20th August 1977 the route converted to using Daimler Fleetlines which were replaced by MCW Metrobuses on 30th December 1981. On 19th May 1990 the route was withdrawn between Hammond Street and Waltham Cross and 2nd June 1990 to London Northern operated from Potters Bar (PB) using MCW Metrobuses. On 26 October 1994, the route was included in the sale of London Northern to MTL London. On 17 August 1998, the route was included in the sale of MTL London to Metroline. 7th June 2003 the route was converted to using plaxton presidents which were replaced by E400s in 2014. 3rd June 2017 the route passed to Sullivan buses from South Mimms (SM) using new E400 MMCs and E40Ds I was joined by AllAroundTransport / @allaroundtransport #fortheloveofbuses #londonbuses #2022
