The Scissormen Live at The Gluepot 1989. Tractorland. Part of The Scissormen's thing was rural imagery. The live favorite,"Tractorland", was a solid example of this. Though an extremely psychedelic version of the song appears on the b-side of the Polydor single "Rediscovering You", this live performance is probably the best representation of the song. Tractorland was written in the time it takes to play it, at one of many sleepless writing sessions at a beach house on the rugged and stormy coast of Orere Point, New Zealand. Many was the time that the band would stagger into the dawn after days of straight channeling to watch whales swimming past the cove.
