In this episode with Expire Urbex, we visit an abandoned convent and nunnery in Ireland. On the surface, this seemed to have been a regular run-of-the-mill convent on the outside, but the deeper into the building we ventured, the quicker our impression of it began to change. As we were going through the rooms, we eventually came across an electric adjustable nursing bed, which began to indicate that the building once had cared for a vulnerable person. Other evidence we found pointed to a number of vulnerable individuals that possibly resided in this place when we discovered a sensory room as well as notes taken by the staff about a resident's clothing, medication and money on their person. It was apparent that the building was used for a number of different reasons over a period of time, including exercise activities as we had found an exercise bike and time tables of different classes available to the public as well. Little is known to us at this moment as to when the building was first established, or when it eventually became disused and abandoned altogether. We found written documents with items in Pound-Punt, which indicates that it was being used prior to the introduction of the Euro back in 2002, but also a calendar on the wall dated 2008. Some more evidence I found online suggested the building closed sometime between 2010 and 2015
