Chesapeake & Ohio 1309: Winter Flyer in Mountains: February 2023 (4K)

In February of 2023, Lerro Photography with the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad Painted the 1309 back into her Authentic, Chesapeake & Ohio paint scheme, for a series of Photocharters. When these Charters were announced I could not commit to them, and my thought was I'll catch them the next time. The weekend after, it was announced she would be operating Winter Flyer Excursions again on Presidents Day Weekend. On the 18th & 19th, when the Railfan Community made there way to the East Broad Top, me and a few friends made our way to the Western Maryland Scenic to see Chesapeake & Ohio 1309. Knowing lighting would be better due to the trains running at 10 AM & 1 PM, I used that to my advantage in many locations where lighting is tough on the regular trains. Going with shots inspired by Dferg again, and angles I wanted to try, this so far is my favorite visit to the Western Maryland Scenic. 1309 was also wearing a Southern Long Bell 3 Chime, which sounded fantastic. That being said, it is looking like right now I will be treking to the East Broad Top in April for a Day of there Easter Train. Looking at this year realistically I am hoping to see 2102, 765, 1309 again and 1225. We shall see what happens this year. There is still some other videos coming out soon including directors cuts!
