DeAgostini (Fanhome) Model-Space Millennium Falcon Custom Build - Episode 14. Welcome back to the desert. I hope everyone is doing well. Things are progressing slowly. I got the “mounting bar” made at a welding shop. They only charged $130! It didn’t seem that complicated to cut out a rectangle and weld a rod to it, but I guess you have to pay for what you can’t do yourself. Anyway, it’s done and I think it will work well. The Port Airlock got modded. I removed the center section and installed the aftermarket part with the hole for the mount. Finally, the internal support got adjusted. I had only made it w=roughly to the right size as I didn’t have the hole in the airlock. Now that the hole is done, I can get the alignment right. I need to take into account the amount of flex in the internal mounting plate as well as the thickness of the carbon fiber the support will be wrapped in. Everything is going according to plan so far. Everything is fitting (with modifications).
