Part 1: • FPV | PART 1 of 4 | 3 inch Ducted Cinewhoo... This was an intermediate rebuild. It took me a bit to fit the old 20x20 stack into this frame since I had to reduce the spacing between boards and build an adapter to mate with the 25.5x25.5 top plate holes. The bottom plate does have 20x20 holes, mainly meant for a VTX, but I did not think it was wise to mount the whole stack to the bottom plate as that plate likely will suffer in a hard landing. The back-end has one post, and you need to somehow jam the VTX and RCVR antenna wires to the supplied TPU setup. I prefer a SMA antenna but it was not likely to work so I luckily had a Speedy Bee VTX MMCX antenna of the perfect length that fit. They do supply a TPU RCVR sleeve to fit over that post but I felt it put too much stress on the cabling so I opted to place it on its own wrapped in a shrink-wrapped sleeve. I like the Pavo30 frame as it is more enclosed and allows a SMA VTX antenna, but on the downside it requires a nano FPV camera, most of which are not great compared to the 19mm ones that the CL30 supports. On the camera tray ... I struggled to get the gummys installed. What a pain in the ass. You might get them on either the baseplate or the camera tray, but good luck getting them on both. I gave up after ripping 2 gummies so I printed my own plate to hold the FPV camera that also supports my O-ring soft-mount system. I was thrilled at how well it flew indoors -- stable, fast, easy to control and REALLY QUIET with the 76-5 props, almost as good as any tinywhoop. When the weather improves I'll do some outdoor runs to see how they do with a heavier configuration; 4S850HV and the mounted Peanut camera.
