Building Off-Grid in Remote Alaska | Greenhouse Prep With Salvaged Materials + Starting Seeds

This week we jumped into the beginning stages of a spring garden project- a DIY Repurposed greenhouse! We are about 10+ hours from the nearest big box store for materials. Part of living in the bush is doing what you can with what you have, and thats just what we did. We salvaged what we could from the old barn out back, and will be putting together a (cheap but effective) hoop house. We have big plans for the garden this year, and this will help us meet those self sufficiency goals! After starting in on hauling all the materials back to the cabin, we got the grinder out and worked a little on our shed- then got to starting some seeds in the house.
