First Day of My Isan Road Trip… and I’m Already Treated Like a Celebrity

The road trip to Isan begins — and first stop: Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat). I start the day getting ready for the long ride ahead, switching out my old bike for a new one built for the journey. With the open road calling, I head out solo through rural Thailand, stopping for fresh pineapple, some spicy krapow gai, and to take in the unreal views along the way. I even meet a few locals who insist on snapping a photo with me. After nearly 5 hours on the bike, I finally arrive in Korat, check in, and waste no time diving into the nightlife. I grab some food and end up at a wild hip-hop club called Pee2, where the energy was unreal and I was welcomed like a celebrity.
