OpenStreetMap (OSM) is a massive collaborative map of the world, built and maintained mostly by volunteers. It also offers a highly detailed data set that can be used for data science and exploratory data analysis. This presentation covers an overview of the whole data pipeline with OSM and Python: Collecting data from OSM Storing the data with PostGIS Retrieving and transforming the data with GeoPandas Classifying countries with Scikit-Learn Interactive visualization with Folium You will see from start to finish, how to classify countries by using data found in OSM and classify countries on how "French" they are.
