(The action starts at 11:52!) A solo playthrough of a standalone scenario, Curse of the Rougarou! "Ashcan" Pete the drifter and his loyal hound Duke venture off into the Bayou around New Orleans, hoping to trap a beast. But will the swamp trap them instead? Doomed... is a playthrough of Arkham Horror LCG campaigns and scenarios focusing on roleplay and storytelling. While I attempt to muddle through scenarios as best as I can, the focus is on crafting an engaging story of one investigator against the overwhelming horror of the mythos. Notes (and spoilers): I made two mistakes and had two misconceptions that affected gameplay in this scenario! Read on to learn more. 1. At 46:00 minutes, I didn't spend an action to fight. Whoops! 2. At 1:18:00, the Slime-covered Dhole should have moved into my location, as I forgot they were connected. 3. In hindsight (it's 20/20, you know), I could have played the Dark Horse waaaaay earlier, back in the Forgotten Marsh. 4. I believe it only came up once, but, rules regarding Duke and attacks of opportunity. When you move as part of Duke's investigate action, enemies only engage you as you move into their new location after you began the action, so you don't take an attack of opportunity! Great, right?
