The Rudyard Lake Steam Railway runs alongside the Rudyard Lake, in the lovely countryside of North Staffordshire just east of the Peak District in the heart of England. I’m out visiting this lovely little railway today to enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of a real steam railway but in a small and perfectly formed scaled down size. The line runs north almost two miles from the former North Staffordshire station of Rudyard along a wide path shared with visitors to the lake.
