Les appellants ont mentionnés qu'une personne se trouvait apparement coincée dans un appartement. Les pompiers du SIM ont rapidement augmenté l'incident à un incendie de 2 alarmes mais ont empêchés les flammes de faire plus de dommage. Plusieurs gens ont été blessés et aidés par les ambulanciers de Urgences Santé (US). Entre autre, une personne aurait sauté d'un étage pour s'échapper, d'autres qui ont souffert de trouble respiratoire. Des dizaines de pompiers ont été déployés sur les lieux de l'incident alors que les policiers du SPVM ont protégés la scène. This morning at midnight multiple 911 calls came in to report a fire at an occupied apartment building on Francoeur St at Behrens St in Lasalle, part of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Initial reports mentioned that one person might be trapped in one of the apartment. Crews quickly upgraded the blaze to a second alarm fire but managed to get a hold of it before it spread further. Multiple people had to be treated by paramedics from Urgences Santé (US). One of them believed to have jumped from a balcony and the others suffered smoke inhalation. Dozens of fire fighters worked at the scene while SPVM police officers established a safety perimeter.
