Hot bearing on a hopper car was 500 degrees and hot box detector gave a Critical Alarm to the train crew. We take the car out of service and get the train back together and on it's way to the prep plant on a rainy day. That was the 29th car back from the locomotive. Figure 6 axles on the locomotive plus 4 axles on each car.
