Today was an epic journey from Padangbai to Gili Meno which took a ferry, a car and then a privately rented boat. Because of ferry delays we found ourselves not making the last public boat in Bangsal, Lombok, and were forced to negotiate a private fast boat to get to the island before dark. Along the way I give you a tour of the Bali to Lombok ferry including what a crew cabin is like if you take it for the four hour sea crossing at two hundred thousand rupiah. We also haggle with boat vendors for coffee and bananas as well as meeting Simon who has been in Bali now for two months. Arriving into Lumbar we negotiate a car ride to Bangsal for a good price before having to then negotiate a private boat to Gili Meno as the last public boat has already left.
