Jamaican Festivals are normally eaten on the beach with Escovitch Fish, but they goes great with everything! This recipe of Festival is so easy and really tasty!! Jerk Chicken recipe • Jerk Chicken, slowly cook on the grill *Festival Dumplings Recipe* 2 cups all purpose flour (sifting is need be ) 1/3 cup cornmeal 2 tbsp sugar 1/2 tsp salt 1 tbsp butter 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 3/4 cup water 1 tsp vanilla essence 1 pinch of cinnamon powder (optional) 1 cup cooking oil for frying (This recipe gives 10-12 festivals) *Instructions* Mix all the dry ingredients, then add (water mix with vanilla) to the dry ingredients. Knead dough for about 5 minutes until smooth and slightly sticky. Cover and allow to rest for 45minutes to 1 hour After resting, pinch a piece of dough and roll between hands into a long shape, as shown in video. Place them on a slightly flour flat container Add cooking oil to frying pan over low heat Add festival dough, fry 2-3 per side, then flip them over. Festival takes about 5-6 minutes to fully cook and have that golden color. Remove from oil, place on paper towel to drain excess oil Serve and Enjoy!!
