FYI...that BESSEY clamp should be released in August of 2018. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Intro: For this weeks video I’m going to see if I can’t add a little more shine to this Starrett ruler I picked up off of eBay. It doesn’t look all that bad but there a few spots I’m going to address. It looks like it has been hit with either sandpaper or some steel wool in the past so I’m hoping the wire wheel will give me a more uniformed look. Not too worried about the pitting and stains to be honest I’m mostly going to give it a good cleaning and see what a little polish does to this ruler. Enjoy. Outro: And here we have the finished Starrett ruler. You can see that not all the scratches came out the ruler and I’m perfectly ok with that. I honestly don’t mind the character that still remains. I’m just happy to see I gave it a more uniform look all while maintaining the integrity of the logo and etchings on the ruler because honestly those were the things I was most worried about. I’m a big fan of the underside of the ruler because of all the character it has but I’m also partial to the logo on the other side. Now I’m pretty sure there are some out there who won’t care too much for the high gloss shine I put on the ruler but I think it looks great and the camera does not do it justice whatsoever.
