I've sadly actually never even seen Fullmetal Alchemist, but this song was shown to me and the story behind the Elric brothers explained... the story of how they tried darker ways to try and revive their passed mother but ended up destroying themselves... so sad! The English lyrics were written by Tobu Ishi. Vic Mignogna made a cover of the original Russian song using them which inspired me to also make a cover of this incredibly beautiful song. I decided to use the original instrumental because I couldn't make anything more beautiful myself, truly! This is such an incredible song. I really wanted to put me all into it, emotion-wise and power-wise (although I don't really have a very powerful voice.) The original song was composed by Michiru Oshima.
