Stamford train station current building was erected in 1987. The station is active 24/7 serving Amtrak and MetroNorth trains, however the main waiting area is open only from 5AM to 10PM. The station has ticket windows for both railroads, ticket machines, bathrooms, a newsstand and a Dunkin Donuts. There are metal seats in the functional boxy modern waiting area. CT Transit bus service is also available at the Stanford station. In the of station services I give it an A, in the of athestics give in an F.
