F-350 ZF5 Clutch Replacement Part: 3

Our F-350's ZF5 clutch went out the other day. Instead of paying someone else to replace it we decided to save some money and do it ourselves. This is a 1993 F-350 with a 7.3 idi(non turbo) ZF5 transmission, 1356 transfer case, 11" clutch with a Dual Mass Flywheel. Back at working on Okie again... It is time to reassemble everything and get this truck out of the shop and on the road again. In order to help align everything I went and picked up some 10" bolts to act as a guide when pushing the bell housing to the back of the engine. I cut the heads of and added a notch so we could tighten and loosen the bolts once the transmission was mated to the engine. Dad and I got EXTREMELY lucky and we nailed it on the first try! It seemed too good to be true but sure enough all the splines were aligned and we were good to go! Went in reverse from disassembly to put it all back together and shocking there were no left over bolts! (sometimes there are and you worry but forget it after awhile...) Moment of truth, backing out of the shop... BOOM! FIXED. Test drive went smooth and all is as it should be. THANKS FOR WATCHING! Remember to LIKE & SUBSCRIBE!
