Do you want to find out what a University Practicum with Wilderness Trails looks like? This video reviews Lilli's two month fall university practicum in the Chilcotin Ark of British Columbia. See how Lilli developed her skills in restaurant and hospitality that she had learned at university and dived into new opportunities such as invasive plant removal and winterizing the ranch. Lilli connected to nature in the true wilderness mountains of the Chilcotin Ark by riding horses and spending time with all the animals at the ranch. She contributed to conservation by removing the invasive plant, burdock. Lilli experienced personal development as she learned all the skills she needed to work on a wilderness guest ranch, developing her skills from university. Part of the self-sufficient lifestyle was to harvest from the land, including harvesting all the potatoes from our garden. She grew in awareness of self and environment as she learned about herself and the natural environment around her. Lilli felt empowered by developing new skills, such as baking sourdough bread and getting the ranch ready for winter, taking on challenges she didn't think she could.
