How to cold brew coffee using the Toddy Cold Brew System. Shop the Toddy range at Bombora Supplies: https://bomborasupplies.com.au/by-bra... Transcript: "Hi, my name's Matt, I'm the production manager over here at Toddy. Today I'm going to be demonstrating to you how to brew a batch of coffee using the Toddy Cold Brew System home model. What we've got here, is we've got our brewing container with the handle, ring, our glass decanter with the lid, as well as two felt filters and the rubber stopper. First, what we're gonna do is we're gonna grab a rubber stopper and insert it into the bottom of the drink container. We don't want to push too hard, then we run a risk of cracking it. Now that the rubber stoppers on the bottom of our green container, I'm gonna go ahead and grab a small cup with some water, place one of our felt filters into the cup, add some water here, get nice and wet both sides. Let's go ahead and insert that into the bottom of our brewing container. Let's go ahead and take our first cup of water in the mix, put it right into the bottom rubber in container. That's just gonna help the grains not stick to the filter as we start to add our coffee. Now that we've got a cup of water in the bottom of the unit, let's go ahead and grab our coffee. What I've got here is 12 ounces of freshly ground course coffee. We'll go ahead and start adding about 6 ounces of it into the brewing container. Right now what we're gonna do is grab some more water from our secret stash over here and we're gonna add three cups on top of the grounds in a circular motion. We do this to allow for even saturation of the grounds. Add that in and then we'll wait five minutes. Okay, now what we're gonna do is we're gonna grab the rest of our coffee here. We're gonna add it into the top of our brewing container. We're gonna go ahead pour some more water in here, three cups. We're gonna do the same thing that we did before, fill in a circular motion doing our best to get all those grounds evenly saturated. Now let's grab our spoon and instead of stirring this, because that can give you a headache later, what it'll wind up doing is binding up your filter in the bottom. We're gonna go ahead and take the back of our spoon and just lightly push down on our grinds and making sure that all of the dry spots are nice and saturated with water. Now that we've got all of our ingredients mixed into our brewing container, here we're gonna go ahead and wait 12 to 24 hours and then we'll decant it and try out some coffee. Alright, now that we've waited that 12 to 24 hours what we're gonna do is we're gonna grab our brewing container here, we're gonna hold it directly over the top of our glass decanter. When we're ready, we're gonna remove our rubber stopper. It's gonna start the flow of coffee. You can just rest that guy right on top. Alright now that we're done draining over here, let's go ahead and set this guy off to the side for now and we've got an airtight cap here for the top of our brewing container. This allows us to store it in the refrigerator for up to two weeks without any flavour changes. This is a coffee concentrate which can be diluted one part coffee to about three parts water. Whatever you like to drink your coffee with, I like to drink it concentrated over ice personally, and that's one of the ways you can really control the strength with the Toddy coffee.
