Hi there my fellow apprentice. In this video I am going to be taking my first look at Staedtler tinted watercolor pencils. Also referred to as tinted graphite pencils. I decided to give them a try after looking for an alternative to Derwent graphitint pencils. As a first look I am going to be doing a really quick landscape just to get a feel for the pencils. I will say that I was pleasantly surprised at the color pay off of the pencils. This is a mini landscape done on a 4x4 piece of super affordable watercolor paper I picked up from my local Wal-Mart. The video is time lapsed, but narrated to give a little more information on my initial impression of the pencils. Super simple and straightforward, any level artist can follow the demo in this video. So grab your favorite pencils and give it a whirl.
