Colonel Robert F. Sink, Commanding Officer of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division would establish his headquarters in The Grand Hotel on the edge of Zell Am See in the stunning Austrian Alps. Here the men of the 506th, the famous Band of Brothers, would enjoy their final days together prior to moving back to France and the Regiment's disbandment - the need for the Regiment to deploy to the Pacific Theatre ending abruptly in August 1945.
