It was released in 2003 and was quite astonishing. The watch is 42mm across the case, not taking into account two different crowns and crown guards. It does have more weight and wrist presence yet isn't too thick at 13mm. The watch is 50mm from lug to lug which is fairly compact for a watch of this caliber. Counterbalancing the heavy watch head is a substantial, heavy and beautifully finished single fold deployant buckle. The strap is conformed and gives and integrated strap. Blue is Ulysse Nardin's color which can be seen on the dial, navy blue strap and lacquered crown. The watch features a full white gold caseback, it wasn't until later that UN introduced the display caseback. There is a dramatic dial with metallic blue and unusual use of Geneva waves on the dial.
