Please work within your own range for this practice. Oṁ – An exploration of the meaning of Oṁ is beyond the scope of this short practice. The core teaching however is that Oṁ refers to, conveys, and invokes the Living Presence of our True Nature as Consciousness Itself – Ātman; and the True Nature of Ultimate Reality – Brahman. In Patañjali's Yoga teaching, Oṁ is known as the praṇava, or the Living Name of God. Dharmaya – A grammatical form of the word Dharma, suggesting 'to dharma'. The word dharma derives from the root dha meaning 'holding', also 'virtue' or 'merit'. Dharma has many meanings depending on the context in which it is used. For this practice, we can think of dharma as our responsibilities to ourselves, to our family, to our society, to all of nature, and to the Divine. Namaḥ & Namo – Different grammatical forms of the Sanskrit word namas, meaning ‘to bow’ or ‘reverential salutations. This word traditionally appears at the end of a mantra, and carries with it three connotations: • praise • gratitude • commitment
