Ready for round two? In this video, I push my Ford F-150 Raptor even further by finishing up Moab’s White Rim Trail and exiting out the famous Shafer Trail - all in one day! This is one of the most scenic and challenging desert adventures you can do in Canyonlands National Park. What you’ll see in Part 2: 🏜️ Jaw-dropping canyon views from the White Rim Trail, the Colorado River, and an Arch. 🛻 The Ford Raptor tackling rocky climbs, ledges, and narrow switchbacks. 🌄 Shafer Trail’s dramatic drop-offs and epic ascent from Moab’s backcountry. 🔥 The introduction of the Cocotreks Trail Rating system – focused on full size trucks and vehicles like the Ford Raptor. Each trail I run in the Raptor will get scored across 5 areas: 1. Difficulty and technicality: This will be focused on how challenging the trail is for full-size vehicles like the Raptor 2. Scenery and vibes: This is to gauge the visual pay off – are there epic views, unique landscapes, cool stuff to see. 3. Driving Experience: How fun is it behind the wheel - flow, terrain variety, and whether it’s more crawling, cruising, or ripping wide-open sections. 4. Accessibility and Logistics: How easy is it to get there, what permits or prep do you need, and what’s the time commitment to complete it. 5. Adventure Factor & Extras: The “bonus round” - are there additional points of interest, side trails, other activities to do and anything that makes the trail more than just a drive. Each area will be rated on a scale of 1- 5 Coconuts and I’ll wrap it up with my honest ‘Would I do it again?’ verdict. I’m doing this as a lot of the trail reviews I see are focused on smaller vehicles and not specific to the Raptor community. This way you’ll have an idea of what to expect. Of course, all of this is subjective as it’s from my perspective, based on my experience, preferences, and opinions. For White Rim Trail/Shafer Trail, my ratings are: 1. Difficulty and technicality: 2.5 Coconuts 2. Scenery and vibes: 4.5 Coconuts 3. Driving Experience: 2.5 Coconuts 4. Accessibility and Logistics: 2 Coconuts 5. Adventure Factor & Extras: 3 Coconuts Please watch the video for more details. This video is perfect for anyone who loves off-roading, Ford Raptors, and Moab trail guides. If you’re planning your own Moab adventure, or just want to see what it’s like to send a Raptor up the Shafer switchbacks, this one’s for you. 👉 Hit like, comment, and subscribe for more Raptor off-road adventures, Moab trail runs, camping, and overland inspiration! 🎵 Music licensed from Lickd.
