Accelerating NBSAP Implementation - Strengthening synergies between ABS and NBSAP AP – Webinar

This webinar will give ABS National Focal Points a clear and practical introduction to the NBSAP Accelerator Partnership: what it is, how it works, and how they can benefit from its facilitation model, Matchmaking Mechanism, and knowledge management and learning tools. The session will highlight how the Accelerator can support countries in advancing Nagoya Protocol implementation and achieving Target 13 of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. Participants will learn about the Accelerator’s purpose, scope, and core support mechanisms; explore synergies between ABS implementation and Target 13; and identify opportunities for technical assistance, joint learning, and coordinated resource mobilization. The webinar will also walk through the matchmaking process step-by-step, providing focal points with clear guidance on how to prepare and submit requests for support. Finally, the session will help the NBSAP Accelerator Partnership to better understand the priorities and needs of ABS focal points, laying the groundwork for stronger collaboration, tailored support, and more effective country-level implementation.
