If you are here, I love you! I have to say that I loved driving through Bosina and Herzegovina, it was such an intense and beautiful experience, listening to Bosnian radio and songs, learning about the history and being met with incredibly kind and open people. This country definitely has won my heart and I cannot wait to return back and eat more burek! :D Part two of our Balkan road trip! We kick off the day in Sarajevo with a strong cup of Bosnian coffee and what might be the best burek in town, before hitting the road toward the south of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We arrive in Mostar, one of the country’s most iconic cities, and explore its old town, the famous Stari Most (Mostar Bridge), and watch daring locals jump into the river below. Of course, there’s more burek, a stroll through cobbled streets, and some classic Herzegovinian charm. Then we venture into nature to visit the stunning Kravica Waterfalls, one of the most beautiful natural spots in the Herzegovina region. We wrap up this leg of the journey by crossing into Croatia, where we finish the day with fresh seafood at a coastal restaurant.
