Average convresation with my colleagues and friends: Me: "I am going to Moldova." Friend: "What, where?" Me: Moldova, Europe´s least touristy country - just between Ukraine and Romania" Friend: "Okay. Enjoy anyway". Enjoy taking off from Chișinău with me. We got a sunny morning and a nice 180 degree turn with great views on the Aerodrome and the surroundings. As usually for my Eastern Europe trips, it is a Wizz Air flight. My friends are joking that I should reveice some shares of that airline as the crews probably already know my name once I walk across the tarmac to board their plane. Moldova itself is a quite interesting place to see. You should not skip it. During my first night there was a severe snowstorm. It was cold and white on the next day making walking around Chișinău a truly authentic experience. You can actually feel geopolitical tensions just from walking around the city - past and future meet there. I wasn´t there to judge nor I am able to do so. But I wish more Europeans would come and see Moldova. It´s always a bliss when traveling opens your mind to other places and people - this is so much more than [enter overtouristy western European city here].
