600 Frost Death Knight - Zekvir(??) Let me Solo Him - strat in description. Patch 11.05

Frost Death Knight - Zekvir Harmode ?? - 600 Ilvl - completed 30th of November 2024 after Nerfs to both Brann and Zekvir. Let me solo him - done 30th of November 2024 - TWW Patch 11.05 00:00 Cheese 00:17 Fight 06:02 Gear 06:38 Stats 06:48 Brann setup 06:56 Talents 07:09 Damage Meter 07:46 Healing Meter 08:02 Ending Priorities in this fight. 1) Survive. If you can live this fight you will eventually kill it. 2) Kill Cocoon's(optimally before it turns to spider). It's better to exert cooldowns to dependably kill the cocoon than it is saving them for spider. 3) Interrupt Zekvir heal. This becomes even more important p2. When it heals for 25% instead of 10% p1. 4) Play around Brann. His potions leave a HoT that stacks. Just like his traps leave a stacking DoT. If Brann dies you can survive as long as you notice potions and prepare them for a HoT. Also, if you glow yellow, you have a damage reduction making you immune to CC, such as Enfeeble Spittle and the ear! 5) Damage on Zekvir. It's a kill even if it takes 20 minutes. Very important, if Zekvir is about to cast Smash or Web, don't go to the add yet. Smash often goes on Brann, who might be wrongly positioned, but Web ALWAYS goes on you. And in p2 you wanna face Zekvir 45-90 degrees away from the cocoon to bait it, so you can do free damage. For making it easier have some macro's: ex #showtooltip /tar Zekvir /cast Mind Freeze Best of luck to you all, All the Death Knight specs are pretty good at this challenge. Interrupt has some range, you can immune fear, you're more tanky than others. You can immune stun and AMS can make you immune to magic effects! As an example, something that makes the fight easier, but won't be shown in your healing log - use Anti-Magic Shell before every other Enfeeble Spittle. The slow and dot is the most dangerous thing on this fight, and AMS makes you entirely immune to it. But you can only use it for every other, but healer Brann will dispel the other half! Talents I used: https://www.wowhead.com/talent-calc/d... Where I took talents from! https://www.archon.gg/wow/builds/fros... In the Death Knight tree: Gloom Ward into Asphyxiate. You'll not be using AMS as an absorb most of the time, only as a preventative magic immunity for Enfeeble Spittle. Suppression into Runic Protection. Runic Protection gives actual defense, whereas Suppression won't matter as you'll die to all AoE or nearly, and want to avoid them 100% of the time anyways! Anti-Magic Zone into Blood Scent. Assimilation into Death Pact. For Hero talents I just kept Deathbringer. Love it, I've played blood a lot! Feels goooood! In the Frost Tree: I changed nothing. But I considered leaving the Breath of Sindragosa playstyle, but decided to stick with it. I know there's other playstyles were you focus more on Frost Strike, but I wanted to try this one. Worked wonders, but, I cheesed a bit. Before you pull, if you can you want to have max Runic Power so you can breath with all cds on pull. It'll make it last considerably longer. Also, I used drums for frost death knight. If I were to do the challenge again, I think I'd remove quite a bit of mastery for a lot more of haste. Crit is good and helps the spec, mastery is just more damage, but haste would make Breath of Sindragosa easier to use cause you'd have enough haste to sustain it longer! Stats: Crit with a lot of master as well, I took around 10% haste with consumables, after doing the challenge, I'd have preferred 15-20% haste with less mastery. But that's for breath build! My trinkets are: 1) Darkmoon Deck: Ascension. I fucking love this trinket. 2) Detachable Fang. I have way better trinkets. But I wanted to use a trinket that is easily obtained and doesn't have insane impact. Example: Mad Queen's Mandate. It completely changes the fight since you can one shot cocoon's, and even use it for the last half of their health for an execute reducing it's cd. Embellishment: Darkmoon Sigil. What can I say, I love it, and it feels good!
