Mid of flowers STORYLINE: A small Alabama town on Monday began the process of burying the first of eight high school students who died when a tornado slammed into the Enterprise High School Thursday last week. School friends and family members commemorated the life of student Alice Michelle Wilson at her funeral on Monday morning. The 16 year old was in 10th grade and was in Army ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corp). In her honour, members of her unit wore their dress uniforms to her funeral. Mourners filed into the small chapel and paid tribute to the simple wood casket, adorned with a spray of flowers. Wilson died last Thursday when a twister ripped the high school apart and dropped a massive roof section and concrete blocks onto several students. Many students, including Casey Prescott, one of Michelle Wilson's best friends were still in shock over the storm. "It has been hard because nothing ever happens like this and it is hard not to have a high school and it is hard to miss everybody that we lost and it is just not fair," she told AP Television. Officials say schools will remain closed all week, as the town cleans up from last week's killer tornado and mourns those who were lost. The school superintendent in Enterprise says he's doing all he can to get high school students back in class as soon as possible.
