In this episode, Carmen Sanchez Garcia and Joe Moody speak with Dr. Cheng-Fu Chen, Associate Professor of Chinese in the Department of Modern Languages at the University of Mississippi, on Chinese and Taiwanese languages including his research on Rukai, a native language of Taiwan. Located 80 miles south of Memphis and 50 miles west of Tupelo, the University of Mississippi and its home, Oxford, serve as a crossroads for everything from Blues music to sustainable agriculture to the Civil Rights Movement.
