Here is a rarity written by Leon Russell and Dian James titled "All You Have To Do Is Ask." Leon wrote the music for it, which during the February 19, 1965 session was played by keyboard aces Gene Garf and Michael Rubini. Gene Page was the session leader and arranger, with Al Schmitt producing. Along with a ten-piece string ensemble, there were four guitarists... Howard Roberts, Erv Coleman, Arthur Wright and Carol Kaye. James Bond was on bass with Earl Palmer at the drum kit and Julius Wechter handling percussion. The song went on a single with Dian's rendition of the Carole King-Jerry Goffin song "Some Kind Of Wonderful" from the same session. That was not the same song that Grand Funk had a hit with in 1974. In 1963 Dian had been with The Greenbriar Boys, a bluegrass group, and some say she was a cousin of Randy Newman.
