Filmed on August 9th, 2016 I've bought this 1:200 scale Boeing B747-8i (Intercontinental) model in the Sunrise (rollout) livery for around $70 at the Museum of Flight in Seattle, WA. This is the first model that wasn't bought online, as I was in Seattle with the family to visit the city, as well as tour around the attractions including the Museum of Flight, and also took an Alaska cruise from there as well. Although the model resembles much of a Hogan Wings model, this is the first model that doesn't feature any Hogan Wings logos. Rather, this is a 1/200 model licensed from Boeing, as the box comes with the wooden base for an airplane stand with Boeing logos and trademarks, which makes this model my first that comes with that. The 747-8 features are much similar to any 787 model, such as raked wingtips, quieter GE-nx engines with "sawtooth" engine cowlings, and improved aerodynamics. The wings are in the in-flight configuration as opposed to the ground configuration, like my 787-8 model from previous videos. Therefore, after filming, I snapped on the gear doors instead of the landing gears that I usually glue on for most models. Overall, the 747-8i looks stylish, detailed, and flawless, especially with the plane's wings in mid-flight. The 747-8i is one of Boeing's aircraft that continue to shape air travel as well as aviation technology throughout the years.
