In this video, I take a stroll around Waikiki Beach in Honolulu, Hawaii at night. We'll stroll along the beach and along the famous Kalakaua Avenue. During our walk, we'll catch a fireworks show and pass by loads of people enjoying the evening in Hawaii. This was my second trip to Hawaii. I first visited for my grandpa's 80th birthday when I was just a little kid. This was my first time visiting as an adult. My memories of Hawaii were pretty old. I thought it was an overhyped destination but I was completely wrong. Hawaii is really the perfect vacation destination. The weather was perfect every day. The water was warm. The air was sweet. Honolulu isn't all that special of a city. The coast is lined with hotels and condos. The rest of the city looks like a normal city. In this video, we'll walk through most of Waikiki. The area is active and naturally beautiful. We'll start on the sand then head into the city. We'll pass by dozens of luxury shops along Kalakaua Avenue and visit the famous statue of Duke Kahanamoku. Overall, I'd highly recommend Honolulu as a travel destination. The biggest drawback is that it is extremely expensive. The average hotel room costs around $300 per night. At one of the restaurants we went to, the cheapest entree cost $50. We paid $75 for a buffet dinner one night. I understand why it's expensive but it is kind of a shock. We traveled during late May. That is the shoulder season in Hawaii. The busy season is from mid-December through March. People like to travel when it's cold in the rest of the country.
