Most stalking vitims never see the signs of stalking until it is too late. If the victim is from a toxic family dynamic (or the stalker him/herself), seeing the signs can be very difficult. Toxic family dynamics can set up victims to be stalking victims if emotional and psychological needs are unmet but met by the stalker. Stalkers have a profile and a personality pathology that makes them complicated, hidden to wider society, and feared. Paul Mullen, 1990, figured out that the stalker profile has 5 different types.
