Prep time: 30 mins Cook time: 45 mins Number of servings: 4-5 persons Ingredients Toor Dal - 1/4 Cup Moong Dal - 1/4 Cup Masoor Dal - 1/2 Cup Water Turmeric Powder - 1/4 Tsp Ghee - 2 Tsp Oil - 1 Tsp Cumin Seeds - 1 Tsp Red Chili - 2 Nos Asafoetida Powder - 1/2 Tsp Curry Leaves Onion - 1 No. Chopped Green Chili - 2 Nos Chopped Garlic - 1 Tsp Finely Chopped Ginger - 1 Tsp Finely Chopped Tomato - 2 Nos Chopped Turmeric Powder - 1/4 Tsp Kashmiri Red Chili Powder - 2 Tsp Salt - 2 Tsp Kasuri Methi Water - 1 1/2 Cups Garam Masala - 1/2 Tsp Coriander Leaves Method 1. Wash and soak all the 3 dals combined together for about 30 minutes 2. Add a pinch of turmeric powder and pressure cook the dals for about 3 whistles 3. Open the pressure cooker after the pressure is released from the cooker, mash the dals well and keep it aside 4. Heat a kadai with some oil and ghee, add cumin seeds, asafoetida, red chilies and curry leaves, roast them 5. Next, add finely chopped ginger and garlic and green chilies and saute them 6. Add onions and saute them till they are golden brown in color 7. Add tomatoes and cook them until they are soft 8. Add the red chili powder, turmeric powder, kasuri methi and mix them well 9. Add the cooked dal and mix well 10. Add enough water and bring it to a boil 11. Finally add garam masala and coriander leaves.
