Reading and Northern 2102 & 425: Summer Doubleheader Extravaganza

On August 13, 2022, I, along with many other railfans, ventured out to the Reading and Northern Railroad to see something that hasn’t happened there in a long time. In honor of Andy Muller Jr’s birthday, the railroad decided to double-head their two steam locomotives, T1 No.2102 and 4-6-2 Pacific No.425 on the 3rd Iron Horse Rambles excursions for 2022. This excursion, like the rest, ran from Reading Outer Station in Reading, Pennsylvania to Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania and return. Despite the craziness of the chase, the locomotives put on a stunning show that only steam locomotives could provide!
