Schools business should be seen as a business and they should look at all facilities to make extra income like: 1. The hall – This can be rented out for social functions when school is not in session. 2. The school Bus – The school bus can be hired to generate income. 3. Hostels – This can be used for camping programs for different activities during the holiday. 4. Classrooms – Some classrooms can be doubled as a conference room for one training or the other. 5. The field – The field can be rented for outdoor events. 6. Alumni Association –We don’t have a good alumni culture in Nigeria but it is a good source of income for the school. It does not take so much to keep track of ex-student in a school using a Laptop and Social Media. 7. ICT room – The ICT can be used for external CBT examination and computer training. 8. Vocational Lab – Vocational training can be organized during holidays at extra charges. 9. Art Studio – Art exhibition can help to generate and market the school. 10. The Teachers – The teachers can get involved in research work online while on holiday.
