Alexander Heldenhorn Number 12 - One of the RARE Originals!

This horn can be purchased (free shipping to the continental USA!) at this link: https://www.boydsbrass.com/product-pa... This is certainly one of the rarest and best horns I've ever had in my shop. This horn is one of of the very rare original Heldenhorns made. According to Alexander, only 12 of these original horns were made (though some sources say that up to 30 were produced). It is VERY rare to find one of these horns, and they are also extremely hard to find for sale! And not only that, while researching this horn I discovered that this horn is the 12th horn made (details in my YouTube video on this horn). So if Alexander is correct, that only 12 were made, this is the last of them. A true jewel. On top of this horn's rarity, this horn has a Dan Rauch leadpipe on it. Rauch horns are some of the most sought after horns in the world, and Rauch leadpipes are just as good as the horns. This leadpipe certainly makes this horn an even better player. That said, I do have the original leadpipe to this horn and will include it with the horn, as I feel the original leadpipe should stay with a horn this rare. This horn is in very good condition. There are a couple minor dings throughout the horn but nothing bad at all. There is evidence at the top of the bell tail (near the thumb trigger) of some dent repair that happened at some point. It was clearly very well done, though. The valves have excellent compression (they were recently rebuilt by Chuck Ward). The slides all work perfectly, and the screw ring on the bell (which is most likely aftermarket) works perfectly. The bell flare is a double-seamed hand-hammered bell - the mark of a fine vintage Alexander. The horn has been professionally cleaned, serviced, and polished in my shop, and is ready to play and to treasure!
