The end of summer is definitely here and with it the abundance of grapes and fruit and veggies in the garden. Sonia is trying natural dyeing for the first time using grape skins. Garden is providing us with plenty berries and vegetables which we cook with every day. Life on our farm in central Portugal is very uncomplicated. Simple pleasures, simple tasks, simple living is on our menu day by day. Gluten free brownies are a big hit. Recipe below. You may have noticed we are producing shorter videos than before; the reason is simple, and that is the fact that YouTube isn't showing our videos to wider audience, hence we are struggling with views. Considering how much time and effort making these videos take it would be unwise to spend too much time especially when almost no one is watching. So, until we get pushed up a bit more the videos will be shorter. Sit back and enjoy Much love S&Z xxx Gluten free brownies 275g brown sugar 3 duck eggs (or 4 large hen eggs) 190g melted butter 150g carob flour 1tsp baking powder 1tsp cinnamon 50g ground linseed 100g chopped nuts and dried fruits (optional) Mix wet ingredients well then add dry ingredients. Stir well, add nuts and fruit, transfer into a lined baking tray and bake in preheated oved 180C for 20-30 minutes, or until the crust is formed.
