The “no-touch” #Streamlight procedure is a one step, no touch, bladeless technique. This type of laser is used when the cornea is too thin to create a flap. The laser is performed directly onto the cornea without creating a flap. The surface layer of the eye, also called the epithelium, needs to regenerate after the procedure. To optimally protect the eye during the healing process, you will be provided with a bandage contact lens for the first few days after the surgery, under which the cornea can regenerate as soon as possible. Your eyesight will then continue to improve until your vision is fully recovered and stabilized. This may take anywhere from a few weeks to a maximum of three months. But, what about #LASIK? How is it different from a StreamLight procedure? Own your vision and start living the life you want! Get in touch today if you would like to learn more about our laser eye surgery options.
