Pagudpud Road Trip 2021 (Part 1) - German-Filipino Food at Bergblick Restaurant |

We're taking a road trip to Ilocos Norte's premier tourist destination: Pagudpud! Before we go to our beachside villa by "The Boracay of the North", Saud Beach, we have lunch at a favorite local and tourist restaurant serving German food - European food in general - along with Filipino food classics: Bergblick Restaurant and as the name suggests in German, there are views of the local mountains in the backdrop and the restaurant is surrounded by rice paddies on the road leading to the famous Saud Beach. We're here especially to taste the greatest hits of German food on one big platter: The Bergblick Pan - schweinebraten (roast pork), pork schnitzel, German sausage, kohlrouladen (meat-stuffed cabbage rolls), and pan-fried potatoes. Also, the Filipino food is not to be missed and in fact, my favorite dishes from Bergblick were inspired by Filipino flavors and techniques.
