In lieu of an actual FTL spacecraft with which to record this live, I went with Universe Sandbox 2. Then I letterboxed it to distract from the blocky cloud textures. Did it work? TO AN AILING MOTHER This, the most precious gem Of all the void; this, our mother Earth. And to think of all the times I cursed My fate: that I must live And die upon her skin - that I must labor In the invisible embrace of her loving arms, breathing free air - I could expound on all the ills I've inflicted upon myself, on all the glories Of the lands beyond this vacuum sea, but What can compete with this dusk, ablaze with potential? (What can compete with the dawn, cresting this azure limb?) Do not all our fancies seem so trifling, Once the coast recedes from view? No matter the fathoms between us This is no faith I can betray.
