Guy Kawasaki: The Art of Innovation

In his conference, Guy shares multiple lessons learnt after collaborating with some of the top tech companies in the world such as Apple, Google and Canva. Starting with his first learning experience, Guy explains how change only happens when you jump to the next curve: one should think about what comes next before doing anything. This step leads you into predicting the future and creating new and valuable services for your customer. “People tell you it can't be done, it shouldn't be done, it isn't necessary. If you listen to them and never try, then you will never know what could have happened.” – Guy Kawasaki According to Guy, in order to get a successful product out in the world the entrepreneur has to be in the right space of mind, the product should be well positioned and branded accordingly. But, getting to this place isn’t immediate. Guy reminds the audience that most probably the first try won't be perfect and that’s ok, failing is part of the process. Allow changes to happen, with each try you get to better understand the customer and it’s needs.  Mr. Kawasaki advises to not be afraid of changing your mindset, take your project and churn it. Being able to remove speed bumps before reaching them is a skill that defines a great leader. Guy concludes the conference by sharing that even successful people can be wrong, so innovators need to be able to hear the feedback that actually moves them forward.
