I hiked a 7 mile day hike of Ben Vorlich and Stùc a' Chroin, Trossachs, Scotland. Details of the hike can be found on the Walk Highlands website: https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/perth... The hike up to Ben Vorlich was fairly straightforward from the road, but the hike up to Stùc a' Chroin was a more challenging scramble. The day started off sunny but the summit of Ben Vorlich was very misty and overcast so we didn't know which way to go to summit Stùc a' Chroin without checking our map - always a salutory reminder that a map is vital even on a well marked path! By the time we got to Stùc a' Chroin the weather had cleared and gave excellent view and an opportunity for drone shots. Descending from Stùc a' Chroin is a very steep and somewhat dangerous path and then a long slog across uneven boggy terrain looping back to the main Ben Vorlich path.
