For many years, this dream would be considered far-fetched because, the facilities to train pilots and the cost of training in fees was far beyond their reach. In this report, STN - Science Television Network's Doreen Kiconco finds that the last two decades have changed the landscape of Pilot Training in Uganda, ushering in new Pilot Training Schools that have taken the pressure off the East Africa Civil Aviation Academy [Soroti Flying School]. the sole Flying School that existed and also brought down the fees due to competition. Common courses offered at Uganda's Pilot Training Schools include: the Private Pilot License [PPL], Commercial Pilot License [CPL], Multi-Engine Rating [MER] and Instrument Rating [IR]
